Tim Toth feels like a lucky individual, with a diverse career. He worked in the finance world and moved to Australia. He performed trapeze (no net) on the  Lyric Opera stage. After 5 years he discovered the Board of Trade wasn't for him. After that, Tim started modeleding. Knowing it wasn't a lasting career, but loving his time in the hair and makeup trailers, he went to cosmetology school and found his passion. Within a year and half he had a full book of loyal clientele and was creating hair masterpieces for major motion pictures. You can check out his film and tv work on IMDB.

In 2004 Tim opened his first salon, Lather Chicago in Lincoln Square. He built his first boutique-style location on the premise that talented and experienced stylists can work magic in a friendly, non-pretentious environment. 

Shara found a real passion for the beauty industry while attending the Aveda Institute, Des Moines. During her time in school she became a certified makeup artist and was invited to attend the Aveda Advanced Academy in SoHo, NYC. After graduation, she made the move to Chicago where she started as a junior level stylist at the Lakeview Aveda Salon. She quickly worked her way up to master stylist, mentor, and team lead. 

After eight years of working for someone else, she was ready to take the next step and has partnered with Tim and Lather Chicago. Shara loves to stay up to date on the latest trends and continues to find advanced education to refine her skills.
